Order #2 for the Irwin now open! We completely sold out of the first run and were not even able to make enough for some stock pairs. We have received a delivery confirmation from Lo Stivale Tannery for the #750 so we can now process orders for March 24th delivery in Richmond. There is one change from the original version, however....we are going to produce #2 with the DNS rubber sole (ala Dundalk), not the Fighter sole.
The leather that we have chosen to use for this run is a full veg-tanned calf called "Reverso" from Lo Stivale. We have been using Reverso for quite some time, primarily on variations of Dundalks throughout the years. The uppers will start out firm but will soften up nicely as they are broken in. The uppers will also fade and patina differently on every pair, giving off a unique look over time.
The Irwin has a lower shaft than the Dundalk by 2cm, is made on our Stitchdown Construction and is on 93 last. The 93 last is a touch shorter and more rounded than the 42 last.
